Online sermorelin consultations
Understand what sermorelin is, what an online visit can involve, and what to check before paying.
Start with the basics
First, the medicine
What is sermorelin?
If a page talks about hormones, sleep or body fat, the terms can blur together. Start with what the medicine actually does.
Sermorelin is a peptide: its short chain uses the building blocks found in proteins. It copies part of a hormone made in the brain; a hormone is a chemical signal in the body.
A small gland below the brain, called the pituitary, responds to that brain hormone by releasing growth hormone. Sermorelin sends that signal; it is not growth hormone itself.
That gives you a useful question to take into a visit: what concern is this meant to treat?
Then, the product
What the approval history means
A page may call a medicine approved or made to order. Check what each claim means for the product you would receive.
The current position
An old approval is not a current product
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reviews a medicine before deciding whether to approve it.
Sermorelin had U.S. drug approval in the past. No FDA-approved sermorelin product is sold in the U.S. as of September 2026.

The pharmacy route
Made to order has a different meaning
Compounding is the term for making medicine to order, often in a pharmacy. A medicine made by compounding has no approval from the FDA.
The FDA does not review how safe a compounded product is, how well it is made or how well it works before sale.
FDA compounding explanation
Sermorelin acetate, a specific chemical form of sermorelin, was the ingredient in the medicine approved in the past. As of September 2026, a pharmacy licensed by its state may use that ingredient to make medicine for a patient with a valid prescription.
A health professional licensed to prescribe issues a prescription, an order for medicine.
The pharmacy must also meet federal rules for making the medicine. For example, the ingredient must come from a maker listed with the FDA and have a valid report of tests on its contents. State pharmacy rules may add limits.
A pharmacy-made product still has no FDA approval.
Ask which pharmacy will make your medicine and which form of sermorelin it will use. Ask the pharmacy to explain how it meets those rules, including where it gets the ingredient and what test report comes with it.
Now, the visit
What does online care mean?
A consultation page asks for your goal. The useful next step is a conversation about that goal and your health history.
Telehealth means a health visit by video, phone or written questions and answers online. In some online visits, you fill in a form and the health professional reads it later.
A clinician checks your concern and health history; this is a health professional, such as a doctor. Ask if the visit uses a live conversation or written messages, and how to raise further questions.
State medical boards license doctors; guidance for these boards requires online care to follow the standards used for care in person.
Bring questions about the reason for treatment, what studies show for people with your concern, the full bill and later visits.
